Beyond Frames: Cortopia Studios Announces Mod Update for GORN 2 Launching July 10
Cortopia Studios, a wholly owned subsidiary of Beyond Frames Entertainment, announces the upcoming release of "The Mod Update for Sergey", a major free content update for their top-selling VR game, GORN 2. Launching on July 10, this highly requested feature update introduces full modding support for the title on Meta Quest and Steam VR, enabling creators to develop and distribute user-generated content for GORN 2.
With this update, modders can create and share custom weapons, armor, environments, and enemies. This follows the popular trend of VR games, which include all-time best-sellers like Beat Saber, Blade and Sorcery, and Bonelab, that enable the development of user-generated content, driving long-term engagement within a game's community.
Select members of the modding community were granted early access to the modding tools, and their creations will be ready to explore on day one, along with mods created by Cortopia's own developers. This ensures a vibrant library of community-made content at launch, amplifying the game's sandbox nature and replayability.
"By empowering our community with modding tools, we're turning GORN 2 into more than just a game; it becomes a platform," said Ace St. Germain, CEO of Beyond Frames Entertainment. "We're incredibly excited to see what our passionate fans and creators will build together. This is a major step forward in how we think about VR experiences as living, evolving spaces shaped by players."
To support the update, GORN 2 will also receive featured promotional placement on the Meta Quest store during the launch window.
