Lumito and Navinci put further collaboration on hold following promising pilot results
Lumito AB (publ) (”Lumito” or the ”Company”) has completed the pilot study with Navinci Diagnostics AB (”Navinci”) that was initiated in July 2026. The pilot study has shown promising results that strengthen Lumito’s work to verify the functionality of SCIZYS® and create conditions for increased sales. However, due to changed priorities at Navinci, the results will not be followed by continued collaboration at this time.
The pilot project aimed to investigate the possibilities of combining Lumito’s highly sensitive tissue imaging technology with Navinci’s technology to identify specific proteins and studying how they interact in tissue samples. The aim was to investigate whether the technologies, when combined, can provide researchers with more detailed information about biological tissues.
In the evaluation, Lumito’s SCIZYS Erbium kit was combined with Navinci’s Naveni® technology. The results showed that the technologies worked well together and produced high-quality images. This demonstrates the potential of combining SCIZYS with complementary analytical methods.
Following the pilot study, Navinci has decided, in light of the company’s strategic focus and priorities, not to proceed with the planned continuation of the project at this time. Navinci emphasizes that the decision is entirely independent of the pilot study results, which met the project objectives and confirmed the strength of the evaluated technology combination.
The results support Lumito’s commercial strategy
Lumito is currently focused on verifying the performance and utility of SCIZYS across various application areas through studies and evaluations. For a new technology, such results are crucial for building confidence among potential customers and providing a stronger basis for purchasing decisions.
The pilot project with Navinci contributes to this work while demonstrating opportunities to reach new customer groups by combining SCIZYS with complementary analytical methods. This aligns with Lumito’s long-term vision to contribute to the development of precision medicine, where more detailed information from tissue samples can ultimately lead to better, and more targeted treatments.
”We are very pleased with the results from the pilot project, which demonstrate that SCIZYS integrates well with Navinci’s technology. Lumito is currently in a phase where we are focusing on demonstrating the performance and value of our technology to potential customers. This is essential for building confidence in a new technology and creating conditions for increased sales. Although we cannot proceed with the planned continuation with Navinci at this time, these valuable results further strengthen our long-term ambition to contribute to the development of precision medicine,” says Sanna Wallenborg, CEO of Lumito.
Lumito will continue marketing SCIZYS and conducting studies and collaborations to further verify the technology’s potential across research, drug development and digital pathology. Lumito and Navinci maintain a positive dialogue and do not rule out future collaboration should circumstances change.

About Lumito
Lumito develops and markets innovative technology that opens new possibilities for advanced tissue sample analysis in research, drug development and digital pathology.
The Company’s patented SCIZYS® platform is based on upconverting nanoparticles (UCNPs), combining exceptionally high detection sensitivity with minimal background interference. This technology enables the identification and quantitative analysis of specific proteins in tissue - even at low levels that may be difficult to detect using conventional methods. The high signal stability and low background create the conditions for more detailed and reproducible tissue analysis.
SCIZYS® has the potential to contribute to the development from predominantly visual and semi-quantitative biomarker assessments towards more sensitive, objective and quantitative analysis. This can provide researchers with new tools to understand disease mechanisms, identify biomarkers and develop more individualized treatment strategies.
Lumito’s vision extends beyond today’s research applications. By unlocking more detailed information about biological processes, the Company aims to contribute to the development of precision medicine = where better pharmaceuticals, improved diagnostics and more informed treatment decisions can ultimately lead to enhanced patient outcomes and a more efficient use of healthcare resources.
