K-Fastigheter and Alhem Fastigheter start construction of 256 rental apartments in Gothenburg

K-Fast Holding AB (“K-Fastigheter”) and Alhem Fastigheter have broken ground and thus started the construction of 256 rental apartments and three premises in Björlanda Ängar on Hisingen, just north of Gothenburg, Sweden.

The project includes 256 modern homes, a grocery store and an associated parking garage. The total leasable area is expected to be approximately 15,800 square meters. Occupancy will take place in stages, with construction of properties with building permits starting in the first quarter of 2026. It is estimated that the first apartments will be ready for occupancy by summer 2027. The estimated construction time for all stages is approximately 24 months.

“The project will be implemented and owned by a company jointly owned by Alhem and K-Fastigheter. It will be high-quality residential buildings and premises, built with climate-declared concrete frames from our prefab operations. I am looking forward to starting construction in Björlanda Ängar and to further develop our collaboration with Alhem into more joint projects,” says Magnus Persson, Business development manager at K-Fastigheter.
