Hardox® pipes and tubes now available locally in Spain

It’s called Hardox® wear plate since that’s how it started more than 50 years ago – as wear plates of a uniquely hard and tough abrasion-resistant steel.

Now it’s 2026 and not a day too soon Hardox® pipes and tubes are at your service, locally available through Abraservice Ibérica S.L. They come with all the trusted properties of the wear steel, such as reliable workshop performance and through-thickness hardness for predictable service life.

Wear performance that leaves mild steel well behind

Hardox® pipes and tubes outperform mild steel several times in concrete and cement plants, the chemical industry, steelworks, foundries, and recycling companies – to mention some of the industries where Hardox® pipes and tubes add valuable service life.

In one of our field trials, Hardox® 500 wear pipe has been tested against mild steel pipes in concrete pumping. With pipes of the same thickness, Hardox® pipes lasted 4 to 5 times longer. In another comparison with concrete, an 8 mm thick pipe in mild steel went up against a 5 mm thick Hardox® 500 pipe, and Hardox® 500 pipe still gave twice the service life.

Hardox® pipes and tubes for structural applications

They can also be used as loadbearing tubes for a variety of buckets and other heavy equipment attachments. As structural components, Hardox® pipes and tubes utilize both the wear resistance and the high yield strength.
